3 Adani cos, SBI Cards among high probables for MSCI inclusion: IIFL

Mumbai: , Adani Total Gas, Adani Transmission, SBI Cards and Cholamandalam Investment are ‘high probability’ inclusions for the MSCI Standard index in the upcoming semi-annual review of the index provider in May, said Alternative Research.

Jindal Steel, Voltas, SRF, Godrej Properties and Bharat Electronics are ‘medium probability’ inclusions, the brokerage said.

Adani group stocks could see inflows ranging from $207 million to $229 million each on inclusion.

“In an event where MSCI consultation paper recommendations for treating of potential index additions with extreme price increase gets accepted, the inclusion/migration of Adani group stocks might get deferred to the subsequent reviews,” said Sriram Velayudhan of IIFL Alternative Research.

Potential additions to the MSCI Small Cap index include Tata Motors DVR, Intellect Design, SKF India, Poly Medicure, Grindwell Norton, CG Power, Asahi India Glass, Elgi Equipments, NCC, Solar Industries, KPIT Tech and Sheela Foam, among others.

These stocks are likely to see inflow of $4 million to $9.2 million on inclusion in the index.
