Covid-19: Chandigarh declares 28 new containment zones

CHANDIGARH: The UT deputy commissioner Mandip Brar on Tuesday declared 28 containment zones in the city.
To contain the spread of coronavirus, the deputy commissioner ordered the declaration of parts of Sectors 10, 11, 19, 20, 22, 27, 28, 30, 41A, 41B, 44B, 46D, 48, 63, Ramdarbar, village Hallomajra, Pipliwala Town Manimajra, Kishangarh, village Mauli Jagran, Uppal Apartments Manimajra and Dhanas, as containment zones.
UT deputy commissioner Madip Brar said the issue of outbreak of Covid-19 was examined by a committee and a considered view emerged that the affected areas be declared as containment zones in the city.
Help Desk at CHB office
The help desk for Covid-19 active patients at home isolation has been set up at Chandigarh Housing Board, Sector 9, office. The help desk will be functional round the clock from April 7. During the day, it will be operational from CHB office and thereafter the officials will attend the call at their residences.
