PUBG Mobile India Release Date: What are the chances of the game getting Unbanned in India? –  Millions of PUBG players are still hopeful for the return of PUBG Mobile in India. Many claimed that the Indian government has approved the game for a relaunch but there’s still no official statement from both Krafton or the Government.

On September 2, 2020, the Indian government banned PUBG Mobile due to data privacy concerns. The primary concern has been the ownership of Chinese giant Tencent and its alleged data transfer to servers in China. However, recently, PUBG India Private Limited has been registered as a subsidiary of a Foreign Company with the Indian government. On November 21 PUBG India Pvt. Ltd which is a subsidiary of a foreign company has officially registered itself with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

According to a report by AFK Gaming, Kumar Krishnan Iyer and Hyunil Sohn have been registered as the directors of PUBG India Pvt. Ltd. Hyunil Sohn is the Head Of Corporate Development at KRAFTON Inc. who gave an update on the relaunch of PUBG Mobile during the India Gaming Conference 2021. “I cannot tell the timing or anything because we don’t know yet. But what I can tell you is, we care about the Indian market greatly and also that’s how I get to know you and get to know friends in the Indian gaming industry now. So definitely, we will work hard to make it happen,”. This only implies that the corp. has already begun the process of regaining lost ground.

Furthermore, PUBG Corp also posted job openings for Investment and Strategy Analyst on LinkedIn which is another ray of hope. The person would be in charge of heading mergers and acquisitions. With constant job listing, it is certain that PUBG Mobile is doubling down its efforts to restore the game to its former glory.

PUBG Mobile New State: An improvised battle royale with new weapons, realistic graphics, and a different take on the popular mobile title was announced by PUBG officials and Krafton INC. on 25th February globally. Although, the PUBG: New State was available for the users to pre-register on Google Play Store for every country except India. The game’s publisher had also said that since their focus is on relaunching the game in India, they will not open the pre-registration for PUBG: New State in the country.

PUBG Mobile Korea: In another blow to Indian gamers, PUBG Mobile is restricting access of the PUBG Mobile Korean version from India, starting July 1, 2021. The Korean version was the best alternative for Indian players to access the game after the ban. Another loss for the players who are already crying out loud for help.

While many are still waiting for the game’s return, content creators around the country are suggesting players to shift to a different game. With the likes of Valorant, COD Mobile & Free Fire around, players are just one click away from finding their next gaming venture.
