As many as 225 healthcare workers tested positive, and only 59 of them had developed symptoms.
The data also revealed that 58 people had a travel history. Over 16,000 Covid patients were hospitalised while 11,500 were in home isolation.
This year, 1,170 cases have been reported in the first three months, with the maximum of 550 coming in March alone.
Meanwhile, the district administration has issued a set of instructions for maintaining Covid-appropriate behaviours in malls, restaurants and other public places.
District magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey on Sunday directed all incident commanders to hold meetings with owners and managers of hotels, restaurants, malls and theatres and ensure that the number of visitors does not exceed the capacity of the place in any manner.
In case there is a rush, people should be sent inside in batches and the others asked to wait for their turn.
For this, a token system could be started with the entry and exit timings, Pandey’s order stated.
The commercial establishments have been also directed to put up a display board mentioning the waiting time.
Officials have been asked to conduct patrolling during peak hours and take action in case of violation.
