The new switches come with ViruzSafeTM technology, which the company says can destroy 92.5% of the viruses on the switch’s surface. “As per efficacy level and time frame, antiviral action ensures that the viruses are not transmitted upon by touch of switches to the users” the company says.
The antiviral switch range comes at the starting price of Rs 75. They can be purchased via both online and offline stores across the country.
The switches are said to be ideal for homes, offices, and hospitals to reduce transmission of virus, bacteria, pathogens via switches.
Crabtree switches are said to be made with food industry grade safety, and use non-cytotoxic material. They are ROHS compliant. Havells says that the switches are tested by third party labs as per the standards such as ISO, JIS, IP 20, etc.
