JAIPUR: Suspension of specific classes in schools and colleges, shutting down cinema halls, amusement parks, swimming pools, restrictions on guests for marriages are some of the decisions taken by the state government on Sunday to bring the Covid-19 surge under control.
Detailed guidelines with restrictions and advisory for containing the spread of the virus has been issued.

These will come into effect on April 5 and remain in force till April 19.
A joint enforcement team (JET) with officials from the district administration, police and civic bodies will be constituted to ensure that people wear face masks and maintain social distancing.
Schools will remain shut from April 5-19
To help JET achieve its goals, the government will form an anti-Covid team (ACT) with officials of different departments working under the supervision of district collectors to encourage people to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour and encourage vaccination.
There will be strict implementation of orders restricting travellers from other states entering Rajasthan without Covid negative RT-PCR reports.
As per the detailed guidelines, issued by the home department, people have also been advised to postpone interstate and inter-district travel for 15 days. Schools for classes1 to 9 will remain shut from April 5 to April 19.
Apart from last year classes, all other UG/PG classes will remain suspended in colleges. If a Covid case is found, the school or college will be closed. However, nursing, paramedical and medical colleges will remain open.
Cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes and entertainment parks will also remain closed.
Swimming pools and gyms will not be allowed to open.
Organisers of social, political, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural and religious events will have to ensure that only 100 people are allowed in a closed venue or half of the capacity of a closed venue.
In religious places, these orders remain applicable. While restaurants have to follow night curfew norms.
