Right after I turned 25 I got more aware of things in life and all of a sudden felt much older than I really was for some reason
Like I lost interests in things like sports or trying to impress people and stuff like that that I used to get super excited for

That’s exactly what happened with me.
Wonder if it’s just natural or the fact I’ve been working night shift for 5 years straight since my mid twenties and had an endless amount of time to read books and watch YouTube vids.
I also lost interest in sports and went deeeeeep down the anthropology rabbit hole. Politically I’m an unrestricted free agent and I despise all ideologies because they dull critical thinking once you dig your heels in the sand and close off your mind to the possibility you might be wrong. I’ve gone full monk mode.

Yes it was basically right around the time I turned 26 so mid 2015
I used to get so excited about everything to the point where I would get mad anxiety because of the excitement of going to play basketball, go to a concert and I for some reason had the idea the world was centered around me and wanted to impress everyone but then it's like I aged 20 years and everything I used to like just got boring or I lost all interest in it
It's like a been there done that feeling that came out of nowherePC specs

So what OP is saying is that he finally realized he was gay when he turned 25? Got it.
“The Misc. is a stone-faced Uncle Sam with Popeye’s forearms and a cocked pistol in each hand. It’s a screeching bald eagle with a foreign Bad Thing in its talons. It’s everything that defines America’s bro culture, magnified and weaponized. But it’s deeper than that.“

Yeah its weird my whole life had an intense interest in basketball and baseball and sports in general I played basketball for over a decade. Then I just lost interest. Like how is that even possible? Lol
My interest in chasing storms increased but its like I turned into a totally different person overnight srs. I have pics of all of the storms I started chasing in spring 2015
And I know what you mean about the anthropology. I don't like to label myself as that but I definitely have adopted a similar mindset. Around 2017 I started studying a lot more culture and societal stuff and ideologies that I never really did before
I went monk mod in mid 2015 and don't know whyPC specs

Idk if it’s more a blessing than a curse to be so aware of things that won’t make you happier.
I made it my life’s mission to uncover every uncomfortable truth about human behavior, gone down every rabbit hole I could find, etc. I knew I’d be worse off for doing it but curiosity killed the cat as they say and it’s probably gonna kill me. Not to get all melodramatic here but I wouldn’t recommend doing this to anyone.

I think that's really insightful observation, and it shows that you have at least some self awareness. Physiologically your frontal lobe doesn't mature until you're 25, and since it is connected to higher reasoning, planning and comprehension, your descriptions sound pretty on point. Psychologically 25 is also a major turning point. You're no longer a teenager, but you're not fully and old boring fart. You're coming to terms with the world, and all your stupid petty things start to seem less important. I have a feeling that is only going to continue
