NCP president Pawar makes fervent appeal to public to follow Covid-related guidelines

Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI) NCP president Sharad Pawar on Monday appealed the people of Maharashtra to cooperate and follow the guidelines given by the government to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The second wave of the corona pandemic has spread across the state. The number of patients is increasing significantly day by day and the situation has become extremely worrying," he said in a letter here.

He said that the state government is monitoring the situation and doctors, nurses along with affiliated staff of the state's health system are working day and night to provide relief to the infected patients.

At such times, the cooperation from the people is desperately needed to overcome this crisis, he said and asked the public to strictly follow the Covid-related guidelines issued by the state government on the advice of medical experts.

Mr Pawar has also asked the party workers to work hard at the local level to get the people out of the unprecedented crisis.

He also asked NCP workers to place special emphasis on corona vaccination campaign and to organize blood donation camps in order to overcome huge shortage of blood in the state.

Mr Pawar has expressed confidence that "we will overcome this epidemic with the strength of patience, restraint, vigilance and mutual cooperation."
