The Friends reunion special was announced in February 2020 and has been delayed multiple times due to the pandemic. A report from Deadline suggests that the special will finally start filming in Los Angeles this week.
The Friends reunion special will unite all the stars of the show including Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. The actors will also executive produce alongside creators Marta Kauffman, Kevin Bright, and David Crane. It will be directed by Ben Winston.
While the reunion special is unscripted, Schwimmer told BBC talkshow host Graham Norton that “there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something.” The Friends reunion special will premiere on HBO Max and its release date isn’t announced yet.
