Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s media advisor has said that the viral video of the UP CM using an expletive at a video cameraperson was an edited video with fake audio inserted in the last few seconds. Shalabh Mani Tripathi retweeted a fact-check link.
The video was the occasion for swipes too with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who without sharing the video, tweeting a verse in Hindi which said please listen to the words from manyavar for journalists. But use headphones and keep away from the reach of children.
The video cuts off abruptly after Adityanath appears to use an expletive at the cameraperson of news agency ANI. The Chief Minister was speaking right after taking his Covid vaccine first shot this morning.
As the video was viewed by more and more people online, the Chief Minister’s media advisor Shalabh Mani Tripathi retweeted a fact check report by a website called Breaking Tube that claimed the last three seconds of the clip, when the Chief Minister appears to blurt out the abuse, was doctored.
He also retweeted two videos named as Edited video and Original video. In the edited video, the UP CM is seen using a swear word, while in the original video, he is seen praising and showing gratitude towards the scientists of India for making Covid-19 vaccine in a short period of time.
ANI has tweeted a fresh five-minute bite the UP CM and said in the tweet – Editors note: Earlier issued Live Sound byte is retracted.
