CHENNAI: A five-member gang was arrested from KK Nagar for attacking a man and snatching his 2.5 sovereign gold chain in a fight that broke out in a Tasmac bar.
On Saturday, at 2.30 pm, Naveenkumar, the complainant, was at a Tasmac bar in Jafferkhanpet with his friends when a gang lit up cigars and blew the smoke towards his face. Kumar opposed this. The gang repeated the act again, which infuriated Naveen, who pulled up one of the gang members and attempted to slap him. The gang members surrounded him and beat him up. They also took his mobile phone and gold chain.
Naveen lodged a complaint with the MGR Nagar police, based on which the five miscreants were arrested.
