Kishan Reddy insults Congress for not allowing Jagjivan Ram to become prime minister

Hyderabad: Foreign Minister G Kishan Reddy on Monday criticized Congress for not allowing Babu Jagjivan Ram, a crusader of social justice, to become prime minister.

“Congress has created hurdles and has not allowed Jagjivan Ram to become prime minister twice,” he said after paying tribute during Jagjivan Ram’s birthday. He accused Congress of wronging Jagjivan Ram and stabbing the Dalits.

After BJP came to power, birthday celebrations were organized in all states. Ram Nath Kovind, a dalit was made president of India after Narendra Modi became prime minister, he said.

Meanwhile, the president of Telangana BJP, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, requested the state government to soon build a statue of dr. BR Ambedkar of 125 meters to complete.
