The actor Ajaz Khan tests coronavirus positive in NCB’s conservation

Mumbai: Bollywood actor and former “Bigg Boss” contestant Ajaz Khan, who was arrested by the NCB last week in connection with a drug case, tested positive for the coronavirus, an official said Monday.

Khan’s medical examination was done on Sunday, after which his report was positive for the virus infection, the NCB official said, adding that the actor would be moved to a hospital.

Officials involved in the investigation against Khan will also test for COVID-19, he added.

Last Tuesday, Khan was initially detained by the NCB’s zone unit in Mumbai after landing at the city’s airport from Rajasthan.

His name came up during the interrogation of the arrested drug dealer Shadab Batata, the official said.

As a result, Khan was questioned by the NCB at his office in South Mumbai and his statement was recorded.

After investigating his role in the crime, he was arrested and later detained by the local court in the custody of the NCB, the official said.
