    Copper futures jump 1% on pickup in spot demand

    NEW DELHI: Copper prices on Monday traded up 1.31 per cent at Rs 678.20 per kg in futures market on the back of a pickup in spot demand.

    On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in April traded higher by Rs 8.80, or 1.31 per cent, at Rs 678.20 per kg in a business turnover of 3,217 lots.

    Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to raising of bets by participants driven by the pickup in spot demand.
