'I'll continue to fight for rights of Banjara community': Rathod

Palghar, Apr 5 (UNI) Former minister Sanjay Rathod on Monday reiterated that he would continue his fight for the rights and benefits of the members of the Banjara community.
Talking to media in Vasai town of the district, he said that he has been fighting for the sake of the Banjara community andhe would continue to do the same hereafter also.
Asked about the allegations against him, he said that enquiry was underway and the truth will come out.
"If I am found guilty I will face the charges and punishment too," he said.
In reply to another question, Mr Rathod accused BJP of playing dirty politics by raising irrelevant issues at a time when the entire state is reeling under extreme pandemic.
He said that BJP was desperate to come back to power and hence it was resorting to such methods, he noted.
He asserted that he had taken up the issues of the Banjara community, with respect to their economic standards, education and other issues, with the Centre and the state and promised to follow it up vigorously until the community gets the benefits.
