BMC to use tableaus in Mumbai to create awareness about coronavirus

MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will use tableaus to create awareness about Covid-19 in Mumbai.
The officials of the civic body said that the tableaus were prepared by the BMC’s health department in collaboration with the UNICEF.
Officials said that since there was a surge of the Covid-19 cases in the city, citizens needs to take preventive measures to stop the spread of the virus.
“In particular, adherence to the three principles of proper masking, regular hygiene of hands and safe distance from each other is essential. With this in mind, tableaus have been created to create awareness among Mumbaikars,” said a civic official.
“UNICEF has collaborated to create these tableaus. Work is underway to create two more such vehicles. The tableaus will move in the city and its eastern and western suburbs,” the official said.
