Chiru’s upcoming project with meher ramesh has raised concern among his fans as the director's past movies did not go as expected. The movie in this duo combination is said to be the remake of Ajith’s tamil movie “Vedalam”. key sequence in the film is set in Kerala’s backdrop. There is a special link between this theme and the story in the 2015 Vedalam movie. The film is expected to screen with some extreme mass elements in it.

Chiranjeevi is also working on the remake of the malayalam blockbuster lucifer starred mohanlal as a hero directed by prithvi Raj. chiranjeevi, who thought that the role of ajith would suit him, decided to act in this movie remake. Also, news surfaced that sai pallavi has been selected for the role of Chiru's sister in the remake of the film Vedalam.
