I know people who are in their late 20s and early 30s and still have to borrow money from parents or undertake relationships for the sake of financing a specific lifestyle.

Both of the people I'm thinking of are actually kind of "alpha" on the surface, but this likely is because they've both had to get so good at conversational and relationship skills to obtain the things they want. Deep down, you can tell they just want to earn money and live a comfortable life, which will probably not happen until they fully hit rock bottom likely in their mid 30s when they are less attractive and people won't take their manipulation as seriously.
