Hyderabad: The distribution of investments attracted by the TS-iPASS since 2015 is significantly concentrated in districts such as Rangareddy (32.5 percent) with 67,431 million, Nalgonda (13 percent) with 27,061 million and Bhadradri Kothagudem (10, 6 percent). with 21,917 million.
This concentration pattern is even more pronounced during the measurement of employment, with Rangareddy alone accounting for 60.4 percent (8.81 lakh) of the work, followed by Warangal Rural with 13 percent (1.9 lakh) and Medchal-Malkajgiri with 7 , 1 percent (more than 1 lakh work).
According to the Telangana Socio-Economic Outlook 2021, the investment made by enterprises using TS-iPASS has increased by more than 33 percent since 2015. Between January 2020 and December 2020, 15 of the 33 districts saw an increase in investment liabilities through TS-iPASS, while 18 districts saw an increase in service liabilities. Given the Covid-19 shock, the fact that more than half of the districts in the state do not experience similar shortages is encouraging.
According to TS-iPASS, 35 clearances from 27 departments are processed and a general application is designed to meet the requirements of all departments. This streamlined the approval process by reducing the number of attachments from 110 to 10. The TS-iPASS portal allows for online pre-screening of applications within 72 hours, ensuring that the applicant is informed of any shortcomings before / she makes payment.
In the office of the Prime Minister, headed by a General Secretary, an ‘industry hunt’ has been set up to monitor the implementation of major projects and coordination between departments.
