Pune Apr 3 ( UNI): "Technology is changing rapidly. Research is needed to adapt this transition. Research will be the solution to the current problems. Therefore, collaboration between Industry and Academic institutes is very important and obviously IEEE is the better platform to involve Academia and Industries on one platform, "said Deepak Mathur, Director, Director of Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) Asia Pacific region. IEEE is the world's largest technical professional society.
The Sixth IEEE International Conference on Technology Transformation (I2CT) was inaugurated today by IEEE Bombay Section, Sinhgad Institute of Technology Lonavala and Siddhant Group of Institutes, Pune. There were many eminent persons present during the inaugural program along with the participants from many countries. Dr. Chanakya Kumar Jha, Director of Siddhant Group of Institutes and General Chair of conference, Dr. B Satyanarayana, Scientific Officer at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Dr. Lance C. Fung, Director Elect of IEEE Region-10, Rajesh Pandey, Senate member of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Dr. Manohar Chaskar, Dean of Science and Technology at SPPU, Dr. Shripad Dhekne, Chairman of Pune Academy of Advanced Studies and others were present.
The 2021 International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT) is the 6th Version of I2CT. The three-day international conference will feature 1,050 research papers from 31 countries. More than 7,000 people from all over the world have attended the conference in the past five series. In this conference following eminent scientists, researchers were involved - chair of 'IEEE' Malaysia section Dr. Fauniju Azmadi Hussain, Director of Telnet Management Consulting in USA, Favji Behman and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Head of International Bilateral Cooperation Division, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Dr. Jha said that more than 1000 research papers will be presented.
Deepak Mathur said, "Various initiatives should be taken to impart more information about research to the students. Educational institutions should come together and focus on research in collaboration with experts in local industries. The students will definitely get to learn new technologies. It will help them to implement many creative activities. "
Dr. Chanakya Kumar Jha outlined the conference. Due to the increasing prevalence of corona, the conference could not be held as usual. However, the brainstorming session will be useful for students and all participants. Jha said that the conference focused on innovation and discussed issues that are useful to students. Dr. Lance C. Fung, Dr. Shripad Dhekne also expressed his views.
