After waiting 25 years, fans finally got their first glimpse at the Space Jam sequel.

The trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy dropped over the weekend starring NBA basketball star LeBron James and a team of Looney Tunes animated characters.

Due for release in July, the film follows LeBron James and his young son Dom (Cedric Joe) – who dreams of being a video game developer.

The two get trapped in a virtual space by a rogue algorithm named Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle) and LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the Al-G's digitised champions on the court.
