In view of Chhattisgarh's Bijapur Naxal attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a meeting with the senior officers in Delhi on April 04. Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Director IB Arvind Kumar and senior CRPF officers attended the meeting. At least 22 security personnel have lost their lives in the attack on April 03. 16 out of 31 who sustained injuries in the encounter are from CRPF.
