Eight injured in gas cyliner explosion

Nashik, Apr 3 (UNI) Eight people of one family were burn injury when a domestic gas cylinder suddenly exploded in a building at Sanjarinagar in Wadalanaka area of Old Nashik around midnight on Friday (Jan 2). .

According to Mumbai Naka police and fire department sources, a cooking gas leak occurred while changing a household gas cylinder on Friday night at the house of Syed family living in Flat No. 7 of Sanjrinagar Society behind Igatpuriwala Chal. When the cylinder in the house became empty, while trying to install the regulator while installing the second cylinder, gas leaked rapidly from the cylinder, causing the men in the house to throw the cylinder into a nearby drum filled with water so as not to ignite. This time the gas in the cylinder suddenly spread all over the house and there was a big explosion and a fire broke out in the flat. The sound of the explosion shook the area. About eight people were injured in the incident.

Surrounding people immediately rushed to the spot and they immediately admitted injured persons in district civil hospital.

Upon learning of the incident, firefighters rushed to the spot with the fire engines . The fire was brought under control by hitting the water immediately. Fortunately, with the help of two fire engines, the fire was quickly extinguished and a major disaster was averted.

Meanwhile, the cause of the accident is being investigated by the police. For this, the police had called the team of forensic laboratory at the spot on Saturday afternoon. 3 empty cylinders have also been found from this flat. The accident has been registered at Mumbainaka Police Station, and further investigation is on.
