Woman dies, her husband seriously injured in road accident in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Apr 3 (UNI) A 56-year-old woman was killed on the spot and her husband was seriously injured after a truck hit their motorcycle on Radhanagari-Nipani road at Solankur village of the district on Saturday.
The couple was returning home on a motorcycle late this evening, when the truck carrying water pipelines hit the motorcycle, throwing them on the road, police said.
In this accident, the woman Sharda Patil came under the wheels of the truck and was killed on the spot while her husband Shankar was seriously injured.
He was admitted to the hospital.
Further probe is underway, sources added.
