Hyderabad: In view of the recent boom in Covid-19 In the cases, the state government has come up with a series of measures that include a new app, which will revitalize designated wards in all district hospitals and isolation centers.
As part of strengthening the ‘detect-test-treat’ concept, a new app that alerts all contacts to someone who tests positive for Covid-19 set up at a PHC. The app will send an SMS to all the contacts of the person and warn them to be tested for the novel coronavirus. This allows immediate detection, which limits the spread of the virus.
Prime Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who regularly reviews the situation, said all the officials in the department of health, the department of Panchayat Raj, municipalities, the police, etc. Request to proactively participate in dealing with the Covid pandemic and demanded that all government officials be vigilant. Health Minister Eatala Rajender called on the public not to neglect any signs and symptoms and urged them to have the first sign tested.
Equipment for hospitals
All hospitals that provided Covid treatment will be redesigned sooner and Covid wards in all district hospitals in the 33 districts would provide treatment there themselves. Doctors, nurses, patient care workers, sanitation arrangements, medicines are made available in these hospitals 24 hours a day.
The hospitals also have oxygen facilities and 22 of them are equipped with permanent liquid oxygen tanks to ensure there is no shortage of them, the Minister of Health said. PHCs are also equipped with oxygen cylinders.
Isolation centers
It was also decided to revive isolation centers in all the district headquarters as before. “Those who have tested positive but cannot stay at their homes can make use of these isolation centers, and we are making arrangements for that,” he said.
These isolation centers will have 24-hour medical staff and medical facilities to monitor patients. Meals and other necessities will be provided to the patients in these centers. In the city, the Nature Cure Hospital, the Ayurveda Hospital, the Nizamia Tibbi Hospital, the Fever Hospital and the Chest Hospital will be transformed into full-fledged Covid treatment and quarantine centers, Rajender said as he instructed officials to make the necessary arrangements within a week.
Contact center
A call center operates at SR Nagar to advise those who are at home in isolation on dealing with the disease and to keep track of their health.
108 Vehicles
Special 108 vehicles were allocated for transport Covid patients and Greater Hyderabad is equipped with 32 special vehicles and citizens can call 108 to make use of the facility to reach the nearest hospital.
