Last night's Mega Millions drawing for Friday, April 2, saw the jackpot stand at a colossal $168 million, with a cash option of $113.1 million. But did anyone win the huge prize on offer? Here's a breakdown of last night's numbers and all winners.
The winning numbers for the Mega Millions drawing were 10, 42, 48, 53 and 62. The Mega Ball was 19 with a Megaplier of 2x.
Alas, nobody managed to match all five white balls and the gold Mega Ball and so there were no winners of the $168 million jackpot. However, one lucky person in Maryland purchased a ticket that matched all five numbers, minus the Mega Ball, and so won the $1 million prize. If they had purchased the 2x Megaplier, their winnings would have been doubled to $2 million.
A further 13 people scooped the $10,000 prize for purchasing tickets that matched four of the five white balls and the gold Mega Ball. In total, last night's drawing saw 696,549 players win at least $2.
With nobody taking home the top prize, it means the jackpot now stands at a whopping $184 million, with an estimated cash option of $123.9 million, according to the Mega Millions website. The next Mega Millions drawing is on Tuesday, April 6 at 11pm E.T.
Before last night's lottery draw, the previous drawing was on Tuesday, April 30. The winning numbers in that draw were 11, 37, 47, 53 and 56, with the Mega Ball 15 and the Megaplier 3x.
The last time the jackpot was won was way back in February, when a ticket purchased in New York on February 16 matched all five white numbers and the gold Mega Ball to take home the $96 million top prize.

Launched on August 31, 1996, Mega Millions is one of the widest played lotteries in the country, along with Power Ball. Tickets are sold in 44 states, as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Draws are held every Tuesday and Friday at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia, with jackpots always starting at $40 million.
There are nine different ways to win in Mega Millions, with the smallest prize starting at $2. All prizes are subject to income taxes. All winners can choose to receive either a lump-sum cash payout, at a smaller prize, or an annual payout. The latter option sees an initial annual payment followed by 29 payments every year after, with each payment five percent larger than the previous one.
The largest jackpot ever won was $1.537 billion to a winning ticket in South Carolina on October 23, 2018—the world's largest lottery prize ever won on a single ticket.
