Kothagudem: Police arrested a woman last month who allegedly killed her husband with the help of her adjutant in the town of Gaddigutta in Laxmidevipalli.
Assistant Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju said at a press conference here on Saturday that a 40-year-old man named Boda Ramlal from the town of Gaddigutta was found dead on his agricultural field on March 25. Police have discussed a case based on the complaint of the deceased’s son, B Ramesh. While the case is being investigated by the police, Ramlal’s wife Boda Chinni and a resident of the village, Bhukya Yoga Rao, who were suspects in the case, fled the village.
While police searched for the suspects, they both approached the Gaddigutta sarpanch Banoth Ravi on Saturday and admitted their crime. The sarpanch handed it over to the police, who arrested them for further questioning.
During the interrogation, Chinni and Yoga Rao admitted that they had been involved in an illegal relationship for the past one year. Ramlal who got to know their relationship had earlier quarreled with wife and with that in mind, they both planned to eliminate the former.
On March 24, Ramlal went to his field to water the crop, and Chinni passed this information on to her predecessor. Chinni and Yoga Rao arrived at the field where Yoga Rao strangled Ramlal with his hands while Chinni tied her husband’s legs with a scarf that prevented him from resisting the murder.
Later, they place the deceased on a sheet and place a liquor bottle and some fried fish pieces on his side to make his death look natural, the ASP Raju explained. Both the accused were arrested and would be brought before the court, he added.
