live updates: India reported a record 92,998 fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday pushing the overall tally to 12,484,127, according to Worldometer. The death toll from the deadly infection jumped to 164,655. 

Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Haryana are states of "grave concern". Delhi recorded 3,567 Covid-19 cases on Saturday and the positive rate continued to rise to 4.48 per cent from 4.11 per cent a day ago while 10 more people succumbed to the deadly virus. According to official data, the positivity rate has mounted from just below one per cent to 4.48 per cent in the last two weeks.

World update: The global tally of cases stands at 131,332,131. While 105,719,856 ​have recovered, 2,858,291 have lost their lives. Meanwhile, the US continues to be the worst-hit country with 1831,382,205 cases.
