GMC’s electric lineup expands with the addition of the 2024 Hummer EV SUV, which made its debut during the NCAA’s Final Four games on Saturday afternoon.
Fans can watch the reveal and place a reservation for the vehicle, which starts at $105,595, at GMC.com/HummerEV.
The 90-second spot from Leo Burnett, narrated by basketball legend LeBron James, focuses on the SUV’s capability.
Signature features include Extract Mode, which lifts the frame up from the tires to allow passage over objects on the road, and CrabWalk1, which rotates all four wheels at the same angle by up to 10 degrees, enabling the vehicle to move diagonally (like a crab.)
The spot features a cover version of the Led Zeppelin 1970 classic “Immigrant Song.”

Additional details on the new SUV will be published on April 5, per General Motors.
The General Motors division first teased the pickup version of the Hummer EV with a commercial featuring LeBron James during 2020’s Super Bowl LIV.
Then, GMC revealed the Hummer EV pickup on Oct. 20 via a multi-platform activation Including a Twitch livestream. GMC again worked with James along with a handful of other high-profile social media influencers in fashion, design, and off-roading to share the reveal and create a cultural moment on social media,
In addition to Twitch, viewers could watch the reveal by tuning into NBC’s “The Voice” or the MLB World Series Game 1, where the show host will introduce the film, which runs two minutes and 15 seconds.
Driven by General Motors’ next-generation Ultium Platform, the new Hummer EV SUV launches with the exclusive Edition 1, offering customer choice to equip the vehicle for optimal driving range or maximum off-road capability. Edition 1 comes standard with 22-inch premium wheels, assist steps and floor liners.
The SUV’s look remains rugged and includes a new rear design with mounted full-size spare tire. Inside, a similar five-passenger layout from the pickup remains and includes a large rear cargo area.
When production begins in early 2023, the Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 will have a starting price of $105,595 (including Destination Freight Charges). When equipped with the available Extreme Off-Road Package, the starting price will be $110,595 (including DFC).
