US Committed To Hold Accountable Those Involved In Killing Daniel Pearl

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with the household of late journalist Daniel Pearl and warranted them that the federal government stays dedicated to justice and accountability for these concerned in kidnapping and killing him, State Department spokesperson Ned Price stated.

“Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke with members of the family of Daniel Pearl and their representatives today to assure them that the US government remains committed to pursuing justice and accountability for those involved in Daniel’s kidnapping and murder,” Ned Price stated on Friday as reported by Sputnik.

In 2002, Daniel Pearl, the 38-year-old journalist of The Wall Street Journal’s South Asia bureau, was kidnapped and beheaded whereas he was in Pakistan to research a narrative of a terror group’s hyperlinks to Al-Qaeda.

Pakistan’s Supreme Court final month allowed authorities authorities to maneuver Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, the principle accused within the case of beheading American scribe Daniel Pearl in 2002, to the Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore.
