Murder on death: accused wanted crime video must go viral, police say

Hyderabad: A revenge murder that would shock society, with a video of it going viral – the main suspect, Yaseen Khan, killed at Mailardeval, aimed for revenge and notoriety via a viral murder video, so he and his accomplices believe Asad Khan hacked to death in public view, police said.

According to investigators, Yaseen Khan was set to kill Asad Khan himself three years ago after the former man was arrested for the murder of Yaseen’s father Amjad Khan in Shastripuram.

The smoldering enmity, which flared up in Thursday’s brutal murder of Asad Khan at Mailardevpally, began when Yaseen Khan’s brother divorced Asad Khan’s daughter. The ensuing issues between the families struck in the assassination of Amjad Khan in 2018. Five people, including Asad Khan, were then arrested.

“Since then, Yaseen has decided to assassinate Asad Khan and has regularly followed on social media platforms all murders reported in the city. “He told police he wanted to kill Asad Khan on the road so that the video of the murder would go viral,” said an official investigating the case.

Asad Khan’s murder is not the first shocking murder this month within the confines of the Mailardevpally police station. Earlier this month, 21-year-old Mohd Jabbar was chased and hacked to death by a group of people near the City Plaza Function Hall, while a few months ago two people, Jado Javeed and Javeed Bawarchi, were also killed on the same piece. The area has now become notorious for competing with gangs.

However, Prakash Reddy, DCP (Shamshabad), said the assassination of Asad was not a gang rivalry but a result of enmity between two families.

“On the issue of rough elements, we regularly arrange counseling sessions for that. “As rough from Hyderabad to Cyberabad and vice versa is very mobile, we will carry out joint cordon and search operations and counseling,” he said.

The DCP said police are appealing to the PD law against those involved in such criminal cases. “More people with a criminal background are being identified and we will also start PD proceedings against them. “People do not have to fear,” he said.
