A Chennai Super Kings member has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus on Saturday in Mumbai. As per a Times of India report, the report of the unidentified member came to light today and has since been isolated. According to the same report, it can be confirmed that it is not a player. The source also assured that the rest of the team will practice as usual and all precautionary measures are being taken.
“It is an official from the CSK content team. His tests came through today following which he has been isolated from the rest of the squad. It can be confirmed that did not go anywhere near to the players and support staff. So they are all safe and the team will continue their usual practice,” source to TOI.

The players landed in Mumbai after a short camp in Chennai. The CSK side would be playing a lot of matches in the city and hence they reached the destination two weeks in advance.
Last year in UAE as well, a couple of players contracted the virus and they could not make it to the playoffs for the first time ever. This year they would not hope for anything near-similar to that.
CSK would take on Delhi Capitals in their tournament opener on the second day of IPL 14. It is expected to be a mouthwatering contest.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals star Axar Patel also tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday and before that eight groundsmen at the Wankhede contracted the deadly virus.
Kolkata Knight Riders’ Nitish Rana was the first player to test positive for COVID-19. He has now recovered and after two negative tests – he has joined the KKR side in the bubble.
No decision on crowds has been made official as yet by the BCCI. But, with the rising number of COVID cases, it would not be surprising if IPL is moved out of Mumbai.
