Hilton today announces the reopening of DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin welcoming guests once again with Hilton’s signature hospitality. Located on the Esplanade adjacent to DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin, the 184-room hotel was temporarily closed from April 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Todd Grierson, cluster general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton, Northern Territory said that they are thrilled to reopen its sister Doubletree property, Doubletree by Hilton Darwin. After an extended 12 months closure we are eagerly looking forward to welcoming guests back to an iconic property that has graced the Darwin Esplanade for 46 years.
He added that with both of the Doubletree hotels operating, it sends a strong message that Darwin market is recovering strongly from COVID-19. We are now looking forward to the amazing weather offered in Darwin during the upcoming dry season and beyond,” he added.
With the reopening, guests will enjoy access to well-appointed guest rooms and suites with Juliet balconies, a poolside deck restaurant and bar, an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens and free guest parking – all whilst the hotel implements strict hygiene and social distancing measures.
DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin is participating in the Hilton CleanStay Program, to deliver an industry-defining standard of cleanliness and disinfection in Hilton properties across the world. Hilton CleanStay builds upon the hotel’s already high standards of housekeeping and hygiene and will help DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin’s guests enjoy an even cleaner and safer stay from check-in to check-out.
“The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members remain our highest priority, and we continue to be diligent in our commitment to provide a clean, safe and hospitable environment for all who enter our doors,” said Grierson.
