DACH region e-commerce volume exceeds EUR 100 bln in 2020

The volume of e-commerce transactions for goods in the DACH region exceeded EUR 100 billion for the first time including VAT in 2020, according to e-commerce association BEVH. The e-commerce industry in Switzerland, Austria and Germany, the so-called DACH region, is performing better than any other region in Europe. DACH region average per capita spending online was around EUR 1,000 in 2020, significantly more than France, where the total e-commerce volume was EUR 46.4 billion, but less than England, where per capital spending was EUR 1,233 and total e-commerce transactions were EUR 82.6
