New Delhi: The major airline IndiGo said on Friday that it had provided a door-to-door luggage delivery service with on-demand platform CarterPorter.
The airline started service from 1 April in New Delhi and Hyderabad and will then launch it in Mumbai and Bengaluru for delivery to and from home and airport.
The airline said the facility would allow passengers to travel ‘worry-free’ as CarterPorter would transport their luggage contactlessly from one destination to another with additional assistance within the terminal.
According to the airline, the service starts at 630 Rs for one way.
“The service will provide relief for customers who may want to travel from the house to the airport with extra luggage or go directly from the airport for a meeting without carrying suitcases,” said Sanjay Kumar, chief strategy and revenue officer, IndiGo , said.
“Our partnership with CarterPorter will ensure our customers have a seamless experience as their luggage is transferred from door to door while flying aboard our skinny, clean flying machine.”
The ‘6EBagPort’ service can be used up to 24 hours before the departure of the flight and at any time upon arrival.
