Hyderabad: In a steady rise in COVID-19 affairs, the L&T train track Hyderabad issued on Thursday COVID-19 safety guidelines for the welfare of passengers in accordance with the guidelines issued by the central and state governments.
HMRL has urged passengers to strictly adhere to the safety guidelines and any violations will attract appropriate fine.

Mandatory thermal scanning of each passenger is done at each security point by the security personnel. Hand contaminants are available at each access point for passengers to disinfect their hands before entering the subway station.
Hyderabad Metro Rail encourages passengers to buy mobile QR tickets before their trip, using applications viz. Phonepe, MakeMyTrip, Paytm and T-Savaari to save time, stay safe, stay in touch and avoid queues at the counters.

KVB Reddy, Managing Director and CEO of L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited, said: ‘The recent increase in covid cases across the country have put us all on a high alert. I would like to appeal to the citizens to comply with all safety protocols when traveling by train. These guidelines are for their safety and well-being also for their fellow passengers and metro staff. The use of masks, social distance, hand disinfection and thermal screening are compulsory at the metro track. ”


Hyderabad Metro Rail displays prominently COVID-19 related safety guidelines around the premises. Every metro train is cleaned before the start of each ride, and all touch points for passengers are cleaned regularly. Aside from the regular safety announcements, each subway train carries stickers on alternate seats and on the floor for passengers to follow social distance, officials said.
