Hyderabad: In the 2020-2021 financial year, citizens of Hyderabad paid R1700 million in property taxes, and Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi appreciates the participatory nature of urban development in the city, in addition to the sense of responsibility shown by the citizens of Hyderabad.
She also expressed her gratitude to the Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KT Rama Rao, for the waiver of 90 percent interest on unpaid property taxes in the 2019-2020 financial year, which made the record payments possible this year. She also said that the Minister had undertaken various initiatives and schemes for the development of Greater Hyderabad, and this made the payment of property taxes possible.
Vijayalakshmi also praised the GHMC officials who worked hard to achieve this target.
