Britney Spears Gave a Statement to TMZ, But Fans Are Skeptical - Read the Reactions
A new TMZ article claims that Britney Spears provided a statement about her Instagram posts, but fans all over social media are skeptical that the quote actually came from her.
The quote is in response to claims made by Britney‘s former makeup artist Billy Brasfield, who reportedly said that he talked to the singer and was told “she had no control over this week’s Instagram post criticizing the Framing Britney Spears documentary.”
TMZ says that Britney provided the site with a statement in response to the allegations.
“No, Iβm not talking to him at all. I write my posts. Iβm not sure who he is talking to, but I am not talking to Billy B,” Britney allegedly said in her statement.
Sources told the outlet last night who really is writing the posts on Britney‘s Instagram, including the post in which she talked about the recent documentary.

When has Britney in the last 13 years ever made a direct statement to the press… please.

Imagine thinking a TMZ article saying Britney writes her own post would do anything to persuade anyone that sheβs actually posting to her own Instagram. They really, really want us to believe it so bad. Like everyone already knows whatβs going on here. πππ #FreeBritney pic.twitter.com/qJs9s6Z942

Britney doesn't even talk to her fans nowadays. Why would she go out of her way to address an issue like this – with TMZ of all places?
And of course it's just a written statement in quotations, not video of her actually speaking.

How much did Jaime pay you to write this? Britney would not give a specific statement to one of the worst paprarazzi rags on earth. You vultures literally treated her like garbage.

Sorry, but there's no way that the statement TMZ is promoting as coming from Britney actually came directly from her. Just like that Instagram caption was absolutely not written by her, either. #FreeBritney https://t.co/3pmkeIIkAC

Suddenly she's allowed to talk directly to the press and say whatever she wants?
