Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has made revisions to some of its prepaid plans. It has extended the validity in som plans while it has rationalised some other plans. It has also introsuced a new prepaid plan and withdrawn some vouchers. The existing customers of these plans or STVs will continue till their validity expiry date. However, they will not be allowed to use the same plan voucher or STV further and they may use any of the available recharge offers as per their requirement.
BSNL has withdrawn the following offers -- Rs 47 first recharge coupon, Rs 109 plan voucher, and special tariff vouchers priced at Rs 998 and Rs 1098. Kerala Telecom first noted the development. BSNL is also set to introduce a prepaid plan priced at Rs 197 from tomorrow, that is April 3, 2021.
BSNL Rs 197 prepaid plan: The Rs 197 prepaid plan from BSNL will give 2GB data per day and unlimited calls for 18 days, after which the unlimited data speed will be reduced to 80 Kbps. It will also give access to the Zing Music app for 18 days. The plan, however, has a validity of 180 days which is ideal for users who want to keep their plan active.
BSNL introduces Rs 249 and Rs 298 prepaid plans: BSNL Rs 249 FRC offers users unlimited voice calls to any network without any FUP limits. It also gives unlimited data to 1GB per day after which the speed is reduced to 40 Kbps. It further gives 100 free SMS per day. The freebies with these plans are available for a period of 60 days. The Rs 298 prepaid plan also gives identical benefits, however, it comes with a subscription to Eros Now and comes for a validity of 56 days.
BSNL Rs 365 prepaid plan tariff hiked: BSNL has also hiked the tariff of its Rs 365 prepaid plan by Rs 32. The annual prepaid plan will now cost Rs 397 and its other benefits will remain the same. It enables its users with unlimited voice calls and 2GB daily data for 60 days. The overall validity of the plan is 365 days. Users opting for the first recharge Rs 365 plan will also get free Personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT) and 100 free SMS per day.
Users must note that they get high speed till the consumption of 2GB daily data after which the speed will be reduced to 80 Kbps. Even though the validity of the PV is 365 days, the users can avail unlimited voice and data freebies with PRBT for 60 days.
After 60 days, they can get unlimited data and calling benefits by recharging vouchers. These freebies include 80 Kbps internet after daily consumption of daily data, 100 free SMS, Lokdhun content, and PRBT. The PV and STV are also applicable to MTNL circles of Mumbai and Delhi.
