Apr. 2—State police incident reported
State police at Hazleton reported the following:
—A 22-year-old Hazleton man who was wanted was found outside of Turkey Hill, 1140 N. Church St., Hazle Twp., on Monday at 4:10 a.m. by troopers on patrol. The man, whose name wasn't released, was also in possession of suspected heroin/fentanyl and was taken into custody without incident. He was brought to Luzerne County Correctional Facility in Wilkes-Barre.

Woman faces charges following alleged theft
A third woman was arrested after a Sept. 4 theft at a convenience store, court papers say.
Sheena A. Wody, 35, Freeland, faces theft and receiving stolen property, both misdemeanors. She was also charged with felony conspiracy counts of retail theft, theft and receiving stolen property and released on her own recognizance March 26 by Magisterial District Judge Michael Dotzel, Wilkes-Barre.
She was charged after police investigated the theft at Fuel On, 6 W. Butler Drive. Arrest papers state boxes of vape devices and other items totaling $1,814 were stolen.
Sherry A. Wody, 57, Sheena's mother, and Carrie A. Reese, 42, both of Freeland, were previously charged in the case.
LANSFORD
Man arrested after alleged assault
A Lansford man was arrested after his girlfriend said he assaulted her during a Feb. 3 argument, court papers say.
Luis D. Rivera, 22, faces strangulation, harassment and two counts simple assault by borough police. The charges were filed against him Feb. 3 and he was released on $10,000 unsecured bail March 3 by Magisterial District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, Lansford.
The woman told police she decided to leave their apartment during the argument but Rivera grabbed her hooded sweatshirt and used it to pull her out of a car, choking her and ripping the sweatshirt, arrest papers state. He got her inside the home where she said the abuse continued for four hours and involved him hitting and choking her, court papers state. Rivera pulled her hair and slammed her head on the ground, then took her keys and cell phone, police wrote.
The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
