Minister Prashanth Reddy inaugurates center in Nizamabad

Nizamabad: As states run by BJP move into paddy and other grain sourcing centers, the Telangana government is starting new sourcing centers, apart from the existing ones, by providing Rs 1,888 to A-grade pads and Rs 1,868 to common varieties, the Minister of Roads said. and buildings, Vemula Prashanth, said Reddy said Thursday, adding that 442 procurement centers are being erected in the Nizamabad district.

Minister Prashanth Reddy on Thursday launched the first paddy procurement center in the town of Ramannapet in the Balkonda constituency. At the event, the minister said that not only are some BJP states ruling, even the prime minister’s home country is recalling procurement centers. In Telangana, however, Prime Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has taken steps to set up procurement centers in almost every town as he knows the problems of farmers, he added.

He further said that the Telangana government also provides transportation and empty rabbit bags to farmers and appealed to the farmers to bring good quality paddy to the procurement centers and get a better price for their produce. In the past season, many farmers have experienced many difficulties in transporting their crops due to lack of labor and vehicles, but this year the government has taken steps by appointing a transport contractor for each Mandal.

Minister said he expects 10.51 lakh tonnes of rice to be sourced in Nizamabad district. He announced that 368 procurement centers would be launched via PACCS, apart from 22 procurement centers by IDCMS, 37 ICP, 5-MEPMA and 10 agricultural market committees.
