CS issues fresh SOPs for fighting off Coronavirus: Sikkim to start house to house Surveillance

Gangtok, Apr 1 ( UNI ) Chief Secretary to Govt of Sikkim, SC Gupta, through a gazette notification, has directed strict implementation from 1st April’21, of new anti -Coronavirus guidelines.
Massive vaccination drive for those above 45 years of age-eligible. Govt employees must get vaccinated before 1st May’21, this includes those operating any public transport or using one. They will be required to possess the preliminary certificate of vaccination. Those running Home Stays, Hotel owners, Taxi drivers, employees of commercial establishments above 45 will also have to acquire the preliminary certificate.
Testing will be carried out, enlisting contacts of infected. Sikkim Health authorities have been directed to start house to house Surveillance. Police, local District and Municipal authorities have been entrusted with the responsibility to ensure all the containment measures are strictly followed. People residing in containment zones will be permitted to move around for medical and availing essential services only. However, violation of measures devised for containing COVID-19 will attract action in keeping with the provisions of law for the same.
