Gavin Newsom Calls Orange County Shooting 'Horrifying and Heartbreaking'

California Governor Gavin Newsom has expressed his support for the families affected by a shooting in southern California that left four people dead, including a child.

"Horrifying and heartbreaking. Our hearts are with the families impacted by this terrible tragedy tonight," Newsom said on Twitter.

The incident took place at a business complex in Orange, California on Wednesday. Four people were killed and another victim, a woman, was injured. The suspect was also injured. Both the suspect and the injured woman were taken to hospital in critical condition.

Lt. Jennifer Amat told MSNBC that a gun had been recovered from the scene but offered no further details about the weapon. Police are working on establishing a motive for the shootings.

The building where the incident took place reportedly contains several offices but the name of the business where the shootings occurred has not yet been released.
