Those who call my name for illegal activities will not be spared: Mahmood Ali

Hyderabad: Telangana Home Affairs Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali has made it clear that strict action will be taken against those who call on his name in carrying out illegal activities.

There have been media reports suggesting some Home Secretary officials and others claiming their family members are involved in land grabbing and extortion.

Following these reports, the Home Secretary instructed the senior officials to investigate the matter.

The Home Secretary has categorically stated that any of his staff involved in such illegal activities will not be spared.

Mahmood Ali said he had nothing to do with anyone claiming to be family members and engaging in illegal activities.

The minister said if anyone provided information on bribes paid to his staff, he would dismiss the guilty officials from the service.

The land of a former conscript has been occupied in the Vijay Nagar colony by people claiming to be relatives of the interior minister.

Another report said Rs. 2.5 lakh was taken to resolve a work-related issue of a prison employee.
