    i still like players like guthrie govan etc and they are technically superior, but gilmour is just another level up to me overall

    Technical ability especially when it comes to the guitar doesn't matter much if you can't string together good music and emotion, which I think Gilmour does better than anyone. Not knocking Govan though. I'm not a huge fan, but I like some of his work with Steven Wilson, like Drive Home and Regret #9.

    Saw Gilmour/Wright in Rosemont, Illinois (Rosemont Theater)2006, smaller venue. Best concert of my life. Loud with incredible sound quality. Saw Gilmour at the United Center (Chicago) in 2016 as well. Great show, but didn't have Richard Wright in the band.
