Gurgaon: There was no farewell from the bar. Instead, on the district and session judge’s last working day, lawyers staged a protest and submitted complaints to the high court and the Supreme Court.
The bar association, which has been registering its protest for the several months over certain allegations, also boycotted the judge on Wednesday and organised a sit-in protest outside the district and sessions court. “Our grievances were brought to the notice of the administrative judge of the Punjab and Haryana high court. The judge promised to visit the bar room and redress the grievances of the lawyers,” said Abhay Singh Dahima, president of the District Bar Association.
“If invited, a delegation from the bar association will meet the Chief Justice of India and submit documentary evidence with affidavit in support of each of our allegations,” said Nikesh Raj Yadav, secretary of the bar association.
