In the wake of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases in Delhi, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has convened an emergency meeting today to review the situation and the action plan in place to tackle the pandemic. The meeting will also consider measures needed to strengthen the response to the recent spurt. The daily tally of Covid-19 cases crossed the 2,000-mark in Delhi on Thursday with 2,790 more persons testing positive for the viral infection in 24 hours. National Highways Authority of India opened the fully access controlled Delhi-Meerut Expressway to the public on Thursday.
