Nasdaq opens higher on tech strength; Micron shines

Wall Street's main indexes opened higher on Thursday, as technology shares, led by chipmakers, gained following an upbeat earnings outlook by Micron, while optimism about the US economic growth lifted sentiment.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 50.0 points, or 0.15%, at the open to 33,032.24. The S&P 500 rose 27.9 points, or 0.69%, at the open to 4,000.25, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 198.5 points, or 1.50%, to 13,445.04 at the opening bell.
