A long queue of voters is being witnessed in the second phase of voting for Assam. As manyas 345 candidates including 26 women are in the fray in the second phase. BJP is looking to retain the 2016 lead while Congress will be eying to make inroads. PM Narendra Modi tweeted, "Second phase of the Assam polls takes place today. Requesting all eligible voters of this phase to strengthen the festival of democracy by exercising their franchise."
