Bappi Lahiri hospitalised after testing COVID-19 positive, daughter shares health update

The rate at which COVID-19 cases are rising in the country is alarming, especially in Mumbai where the numbers are only seeing a spike by the day. Bollywood has also been hit badly by the infection. The latest celebrity to test COVID-19 positive is 68-year-old singer and composer Bappi Lahiri. His daughter, Reema Lahiri Bansal confirmed the same in an official statement. Like most people, the singer, too, had been exercising immense precautions when he started showing coronavirus symptoms. He has been hospitalised now but Reema reassures fans, friends and colleagues that there's nothing to worry about and that the step was taken keeping his age in mind. She also assured that the veteran singer will be home soon. In the same statement, Rema also expressed her gratitude towards fans for always keeping Bappi in their prayers.
